Logan Grayson at his buddy's gravesite

Richard Henry Langford was KIA in Nam in April of 1965. He was on TAD to the USS Cook (APD-130)to train replacement assault boat sailors, a task he volunteered for. After transporting a Marine recon patrol to the beach that patrol came under hostile fire from ashore and Langford was fatally wounded providing cover fire for the Marines. This picture is at his gravesite in Arkansas on the 40th anniversary of his death, 23 April 2005. Photo contributed by Logan Grayson
